Our vacation during Chelsea's spring break, began with a drive through Death Valley. We wanted to see the spring flowers and some of the highlights of this interesting National Park, before heading to Las Vegas. The drive to Death Valley began with breakfast in Baker. Then we headed north to the southern entrance of the park by Shoshone.

Upon entering the park, we were greeted by a late spring storm, with short bursts of rain, and strong winds. The wild flowers were in full bloom, which created a yellow carpet in the southern portion of Death Valley.
