Laguna Beach Spring Break

Our spring break get away consisted of a 2 night stay in Laguna Beach. Although it is only a short drive from home, it felt like we were many miles away. Elissa stayed with us, while Ryan was only able to come for the day.
Heilser Park was a beautiful place to walk on the trails along the bluffs, hang out on the beach, explore the tidal pools, or just watch the sunset. The park was a short walk from our hotel.
While the girls were soaking up some rays, I had a blast exploring the tidal pools. Pictured here are some of the interesting organisms: hermit crabs, mussels, sea anemones, sea urchins, shore crabs, and barnacles.
I even caught a glimpse of a pod of grey whales migrating along the coast.
