A memorial for those who perished on 9/11.  The sphere was originally in the World Trade Plaza.it is incredible to think it survived the collapse of the twin towers.  It is now located in Battery Park.

We stopped by this fire station which is located across the street from ground zero.   The fire chief invited us in for pictures.

Rebuilding of the World Trade Center is underway with the subway almost completed.
