Coit Tower,  rising from the top of Telegraph Hill, has been an emblem of San Francisco’s skyline since its completion in 1933. Its observation deck, reached by elevator , provides 360-degree views of the city and bay, including the Golden Gate and Bay bridges.

Sunday began with a hike over Russian Hill to the Catholic Church.  After church we took the bus to Coit Tower, then to Pier 39, and then a longer ride to the other side of the peninsula for lunch in the Outer Sunset District near the Pacific Ocean.
