This was our second full day in Tokyo.  We had plans to meet Cynthia's nephew later in the day, so we took time to explore Tokyo on our own.  Our itinerary included the Tokyo Tower, teamLab Borderless, Shinto Shrine, subway ride, Shinjuku, and dinner with Cynthia's nephew and his fiance.
TeamLabs  Borderless
This immersive art exhibition offers a captivating, imaginative experience with stunning visual displays and interactive components. We spent hours wandering around this impressive 3D presentation with digital art using projectors, lights, mirrors, and sounds.
Shinjuku
After the art exhibit, we wandered around trying to find the subway.  Once we figured out the subway system, we traveled to Shinjuku to explore one of the most interesting parts of Tokyo for shopping, interesting sites, and very crowded streets. We were trying to find a nice Japanese restaurant for lunch in Shinjuku, but we mistakenly ended up in a Chinese restaurant thinking it was a ramen place. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building had a observation deck that provided a spectacular view of the surrounding city from the 45th floor for free.

Dinner with Cynthia's Nephew
After an exhausting but interesting day, Cynthia's nephew and his fiance met us at our hotel.  We walked to a nice Soba restaurant for dinner and conversation. It had been a very long time since we saw her nephew and it was the first time to meet his fiance. They have been working and living in Tokyo for 5 years.
Last Day in Tokyo
This was our last day in Tokyo before traveling by the high speed rail (shinkansen) to Osaka. The toilets in Japan are very modern with adjustable sprays and water temperature. Our hotel had a convenience store in the basement, Lawson's. I captured a beautiful sunrise from our hotel window before our final breakfast in Tokyo.
