Rich and I planned a nostalgic trip to New Jersey and New York to visit the places of our grandparents, parents, childhood neighborhoods, and our old friends.
We were hungry after traveling all day and found the quintessential New Jersey diner for a lox and bagel dinner in Paramus.
Our first day started with a drive through NYC to the Bronx to the NY Botanical Garden. A real gem with gardens, greenhouses, forests, and a waterfall in the middle of a dense urban area. We met my childhood friend, Sondra, for a day exploring the gardens before we walked to the old neighborhood where our parents were raised.
