The last couple of days were spent in NY State. The first stop was lunch in Ossining, NY to visit Sondra and her family. The weather changed dramatically with much cooler temperatures and rain.
We drove for hours in a heavy steady rain before reaching Lake George. Our visit spanned two days where we spent our time with my childhood friend, Harry, his wife, and family, including their 3 dogs.
Their lovely home in the Adirondack Mountains is surrounded by forest which was peaking the display of fall colors. Their youngest daughter lives on their property in a home built by her husband.
The eye-catching display of colors around their home.
The temperature had dropped to a freezing 29 degrees on our last morning. We drove back to NJ on the New York State Thruway to catch our plane in Newark Airport, enjoying the last of the fall colors.
