It was a 16 hour flight from Los Angeles to Manila, where we were joined by Vivian who flew from San Francisco. Our first stay was in BGC (Bonafacio Global City) in Metro Manila at an airbnb, Avant at the Fort. We spent a few nights to acclimate before flying to Singapore.BGC is a cosmopolitan hub featuring high-end shopping and dining, green spaces, and high rise buildings. The photos below are taken in Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Bonafacio High Street is the heart of BGC with restaurants, shops, and entertainment in a pedestrian-friendly area.
Cynthia is trying to haul the boxes and luggage to the airbnb. The boxes are called "balikbayan boxes" which are filled with goods and gifts for friends and family.
