El Nido
The hotel surprised Glena and George with an anniversary plate.  It should be 47 years!
Tuk-tuk (tricycle)
Before meeting for an anniversary lunch in El Nido, the three of us rode on a tuk-tuk (tricycle) to one of the beaches near El Nido, Nacpan Beach.  It was a quiet and secluded beach where we stopped to enjoy buko (fresh coconut). Riding on a tuk-tuk is an adventure with a very bumpy and uncomfortable ride.  The tuk-tuk is an open-air, three-seater, noisy, sputtering, three-wheeled motorcycle taxi with origins as a cheap public transportation option in Southeast Asia.
We met the anniversary couple at the church where they received a blessing. The church was across from the  beautiful restaurant, Piece of Sky, that provided a gorgeous view of the beach and mountains from the sixth floor.

We were greeted with our names on a large screen TV in the lobby of our hotel.
We stopped at this beachside cafe to enjoy fresh coconut.  It is served with a straw to sip the juice and a spoon to dig out the coconut meat.
