This website features a 12-day driving trip up and down the West Coast. It was a fast-paced trip, but we hit all the areas we planned on visiting. The photo above highlights one of our favorite stops, Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, OR.
Napa and Sonoma Wine Country
We spent 2 nights in the wine country exploring the artsy city of Napa and the quant historical city of Sonoma as well as visiting a couple of wineries, a geyser, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the area.
We arrived in Napa in time to enjoy lunch at the Oxbow Public Market which is a gathering place for locals with food and wine alongside the Napa River. Moro is a Moroccan Street food restaurant where we chose the Moroccan chicken with couscous for a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we stopped at the Model Bakery to taste the English muffins that Oprah named as one of her "Favorite Things."
The Beringer Winery Estate was established in 1876 by the Beringer Brothers from Mainz, Germany. The Victorian style Rhine house was built in 1883 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. We walked through the beautiful house with stunning stained glass.
In the evening we walked through downtown Napa and along the Napa River. Iron Chef Morimoto Asia Restaurant is located here with many other top rated restaurants.
